I have been a teacher, an assistant principal, a principal and a district level administrator. I can tell you that Not Enough was the reality in every single job. I can relate to your words from my teacher role and also in the other roles. There was never enough time to think, to plan, to collaborate, to listen, to coach, to observe, to read, to commiserate, and the list goes on. This is the result of never having the resources (mainly time) for each person to do all the things they would like to do to be better at the job of teaching or to support those doing the teaching. Instead, in each of those roles, I always had to make an uneasy peace with the fact that it was not enough.
