I think the second part of his comment is more important - “it’s society’s responsibility to provide the opportunity for people to get good jobs to support their entire families.” Most people would agree. It is the social failure in this that creates the need to “take care of other’s kids”. When wages require two or more full-time jobs to get by, why are we surprised that parents need help with childcare.
