It strikes me that these are broadly the rhetorical strategies of people who don't care about conversation, compromise, or finding solutions, they are the strategies of people who wish only to win with whatever twisting of logic will make that happen. Also, maybe you've already covered this, but point number one about the computerized bank of worksheets makes me think of Paulo Freire's criticism of the "banking model" of education whereby teachers just deposit knowledge into students as banks. What I've just come to realize is that one of the most important roles of teachers (and parents) is to figure out how to motivate students to learn, because only someone who enjoys learning and feels rewarded by it will be motivated to access these standardized and impersonal online learning tools.
