But again-- if you don't already know that the race for President is a critical choice between a catastrophic mess of a candidate and someone who wants the country to work well, but will do nothing to antagonize her corporate owners in doing little to nothing to fix what ails us, nothing I can type will help (and if you think voting for Jill Stein is a great move, I think you are truly beyond rational help, but then, I like throwing good duopoly money after bad).

Fify.

Third parties are a non starter unless we can reform our voting methods. Until then, if you don’t like the candidates, focus on primarying them

Third parties are a non-starter, until they are not, regardless of the electoral propaganda spewed by both parties, but primarily Democrats. If you want lock yourself into a binary silo, which is actually a uni-party silo (endless war, obscene wealth inequality, oncoming climate chaos, etc.), knock yourself out. If I don’t like candidates, based on policy, I don’t vote for them, especially anyone who is complicit in genocide.

I refuse to vote for oligarchic authoritarians, nor totalitarian corporatists. Who one votes for is irrelevant anyway, at least on the federal level. Who do you think runs this country; elected officials?

Voting for a 3rd party with fptp elections is equivalent to abstaining. If that’s your choice it’s your choice. If you don’t want that to be the case, work to reform elections into ranked choice.

Attempting to shame third-party voters by telling them they are actually voting for someone other than the name they actually chose on the ballot, or using a slightly less patronizing and condescending corollary like ‘equivalent to abstaining’ with a smug ‘Just the Facts’ Joe Friday attitude doesn’t validate the validity of your comment.

It just reveals the anti-democratic, corrupt establishment sycophancy used by so many lesser evil, vote blue no matter genocide apologists who suffer from binary brain rot in trying to justify a vote for cheaper groceries.
