I'm not sure how many people are aware that Milton Friedman was a strong advocate for "unschooling," and raised his son David (and siblings?) that way. In return, David raised his kids in unschooling and...well, they're major libertarian voices. I had more than a few go-rounds with David on Usenet back in the day about the alleged benefits of unschooling.
