The fashion school metaphor for the closed loop standardized testing model is perfect.

I encounter a lot of people in Music Education who are grown adults who instead of teaching children or helping out in a classroom setting decide to troll and dox me why? Because I don't want music teachers to feel like they have to bow down or join NAfME or NAMM, which donate blood money to two large monopolies DCI and BOA. So many local programs need support from public schools yet they are dying of resources because that is what DCI and BOA do when they enter communities of poverty and scarcity. I even made a post on Reddit with links to the counties these DCI corps belong in and put them into the US Government's Poverty Map. DCI and BOA are Robber Barons of Music Education and Music Resources. Music Teachers if there are any of you out there, don't join trade associations like NAfME and NAMM, join the IWW Educators and learn how to fight and bust Monopolies like DCI and BOA.

Bands and Corps operate better when they don't have competition, high expectations, or trophies to worry or fear about, the Tony Award-winning show Blast is a good example of what a DCI and BOA-free world can look like and accomplish, yet so many Band Directors and Educators choose not to because of a culture of greed and prestige trumping over education, well-being, cooperation, and accommodation of people who were abandoned by the Performing and Marching Arts. Although Blast is not touring in America there needs to be a revival and new appreciation of a show that encourages people to fight for better music education.
