Just sort of an aside...Here in Wisconsin the state decided to use the ACT for its required state testing at the high school level rather than create a new product. Students only have to pay to take the test if they want to take it again. I will be interested to see if things change with the new ownership.

I worked at a school during the pandemic when this sale to Nexus had just occurred. ELA and social studies teachers like myself had to use Savvas. There was nothing innovative or diverse about their fancy digital materials, and they were extremely cumbersome to use with students (basically just a textbook ane out-of-the-box curriculum), but harder to use lol). Then I looked into Savvas and found out about what you wrote about in this article. So I just had my students use the Savvas materials the minimum amount to keep admin off my back and did my own thing. The kids learned a lot more as a result.
