As an avid Asimov fan, Khan proves to me that he has such a simplistic view of Asimov's work and no understanding of how the books came about. He would bring all his different series together later in life. He had a robot series and the original Foundation series. It would only be later that he would integrate the two works. I always thought the technology in the books was not as important as the relationships between the different characters, many of whom were flawed in different ways. The Foundation also evidenced how tyrants and empires ultimately destroy themselves in the end. It also demonstrates how innovation and science contribute to the creation of thriving civilizations. His stories became more sophisticated as I matured into adulthood. I am only sad that he passed on when I wanted more of his insight.

I think you’re right about Connecticut Yankee . It is dark but science wins over ignorance which ain’t a bad outcome these days 😎
